About the SSC CHSL Examination
What is SSC CHSL?
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination 2025 (CHSL) to recruit Group 'C' Non-Gazetted Government job vacancies for various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations under the Government of India.
The Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) 2025 is a prominent recruitment examination conducted annually to fill vacancies for Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operators in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of the Central Government, including their Attached and Subordinate offices throughout India.
The CHSL Recruitment Examination 2025 will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II), and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).
Positions recruited through the SSC CHSL Recruitment Examination 2025 form the backbone of the central government administration. Successful candidates play a crucial role in executing base-level tasks within departments and ministries.

Approximately 3131 vacancies are available. The final number will be determined in due course.
Age Limit
18-27 years as of 01/01/2026.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG), candidates must have passed 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹100/- is to be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro RuPay Credit, or Debit cards, or in cash at SBI Branch by generating an SBI Challan. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-Servicemen and Women candidates.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates should apply online in the prescribed format on the SSC Recruitment website from 23/06/2026 to 18/07/2025 for the SSC CHSL Recruitment Examination 2025. The dates for the Application Form Correction window and online payment of Correction Charges are from 23/07/2025 to 24/07/2025.
