Opportunity for Engineering Graduates in the Indian Army
The Indian Army is inviting online applications from unmarried male engineering graduates for the 143rd Technical Graduate Course (TGC-143), commencing in July 2026 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. This course offers a Permanent Commission (PC) in the Indian Army.
Selected engineers will be commissioned as officers, serving the nation with pride and distinction.
Short Service Commission and Permanent Commission
Candidates selected for the Technical Graduate Course (143rd TGC) will be granted a Short Service Commission (SSC) on probation in the rank of Lieutenant. This commission is effective from the date of the course's commencement or the reporting date at the IMA, whichever is later. During training, candidates will receive full pay and allowances admissible to a Lieutenant.
Upon successful completion of training in TGC 143, cadets will be granted a Permanent Commission (PC) in the Army, holding the rank of Lieutenant.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age as of 01/07/2026. This means candidates should be born between 02 July 1999 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have either passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in the final year of their Engineering Degree course to be eligible to apply.
Pay Scale and Financial Benefits
The stipend during the training period is ₹56,100 per month. Upon commissioning, selected engineers will be appointed as Lieutenants with a pay scale of ₹56,100 - ₹177,500 (7th CPC Pay Level-10). In addition to this, officers also receive a Military Service Pay (MSP) of ₹15,500 per month.
