About National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam (II) 2025
To join the National Defence Academy (NDC), candidates must appear for the NDA and Naval Academy Exam (II) 2025, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is responsible for issuing selection guidelines and the final conduct of the NDA entrance examination (II) 2025. To qualify for NDA, candidates need to have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 System of Education or equivalent for Army, and Physics and Maths are required for Indian Air Force & Indian Navy for the NDA Exam (II) 2025.
Selected candidates will undergo a 3-year training at NDA and 1 year at IMA (For Army cadets), 3 years at NDA and 1 year at Naval Academy (For Naval cadets), and 3 years at NDA and 1 & 1/2 years at AFA Hyderabad (For AF cadets) after selection through the National Defence Academy (NDA) Exam (II) 2025.

NDA & NA Exam (II) 2025 Eligibility
- Age: Born between 2nd January 2007 and 1st January 2010.
- Educational Qualification
- for Army: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in the notice.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹100/- (No fee for SC/ST) is to be deposited in any branch of SBI or online by Net Banking or by Credit/Debit card.
UPSC NDA & NA Exam (II) 2025 Exam Pattern
An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 14/09/2025 at various test centers across India for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 156th Course, and for the 118th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). Candidates should note that there will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked in the Objective Type Question Papers.
