Indian Army 65th Men & 36th Women Technical SSC Officer Recruitment - October 2025 Entry
The Indian Army has announced the commencement of the 65th Technical Short Service Commission (SSC) course for men and the 36th SSC course for women, scheduled to begin in October 2025 at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). Unmarried male and female engineering graduates are invited to apply, along with widows of defense personnel who died in service.

The Indian Army is recruiting for the following positions:
- SSC (Tech)-65 Men and SSCW (Tech.)-36 Women: 379 total vacancies (350 for males, 29 for women) across various engineering disciplines.
- Qualification: SSCW (Non-Tech) requires a graduation in any discipline, SSCW(Tech) requires a BE/B Tech degree in any engineering stream.

Age Requirements
- For SSC (Tech)-65 Men and SSCW (Tech.)-36 Women: Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age as of 01st October 2025.
- For widows of Defense Personnel, the maximum age is 35 years as of 01st October 2025, for both SSCW (Non-Tech) [Non-UPSC] and SSCW (Tech) entries.
Pay Scale & Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹56,100 during their training at OTA, Chennai. Upon successful completion of training, they will be commissioned as Lieutenants with a pay scale in 7th CPC Pay Level-10 (₹56,100-177,500).
Method of Selection
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on a cutoff percentage and called for interviews at one of the Selection Centers: Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab). Interviews will be conducted by a Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer.
Call-up letters for SSB interviews will be issued via the candidate's registered email and SMS. The allocation of Selection Centers is at the discretion of DG Rtg, IHQ of MoD (Army). Candidates will undergo a two-stage selection process at the SSB. Candidates who pass Stage-I proceed to Stage-II, while those who fail Stage-I will be returned. SSB interviews last five days.
Medical Examination
Candidates who are recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers.
