Central Railway Apprentice Trades:
The apprenticeship covers a wide range of trades, including Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Tailor, Electrician, Programming & Systems Administration Assistant, Mechanic Diesel, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Laboratory Assistant, Electronic Mechanic, Mechanic Machine Tools Maintenance, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, Information Technology & Electronic System Maintenance, and more.
Central Railway Apprentice Age Limit:
- Minimum 15 years and Maximum 24 years as of 15/12/2022.
- Upper Age Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC.
Central Railway Apprentice Salary / Stipend:
₹ 7000/- per month for National or State Certificate Holder.
Central Railway Apprentice Educational Qualification:
- 10th class (Matric) examination passed or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
- National Trade Certificate / ITI in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.
Central Railway Apprentice Selection Process:
- Selection is based on a merit list prepared for all candidates who apply against the notification.
- The merit list considers the percentage of marks in matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade chosen for the apprenticeship.
- The panel will be on the basis of the simple average of marks in matriculation and ITI.
Central Railway Apprentice Application Fee:
- A non-refundable fee of ₹ 100/-.
- Payment can be made online through debit card/credit card/Internet Banking/SBI Challan, and more.
